DARKBOT(1) FreeBSD General Commands Manual DARKBOT(1)

darkbot
launches the darkbot

darkbot [-SEEN | -DEBUG]

The command launches the IRC darkbot, you can use additional options like SEEN , which enables !seen actions for the bot even if they aren't defined in the defines file; or DEBUG that runs the bot with all features, but in debug mode.

To configure your darkbot use:

/usr/local/etc/darkbot/configure - to modify setup.ini (dat/) /usr/local/etc/darkbot/dat/userlist.db - add users

The darkbot utility exits 0 on success, and >0 if an error occurs.

darkbot Was originally created by Jason Hamilton as an aid for help channels to answer repeated questions from its virtually unlimited database, it has became a very popular talking robot in a generic sense, being used all over IRC networks for different purposes and in 18 languages. Data can be added to it and managed dynamically online or edited in its database files offline.

The FreeBSD port and the manual page are maintained by backslas@BSDCode.org
