NAME

jis2gb - convert JIS Kanji to GuoBiao Hanzi

SYNOPSYS

jis2gb [ -sgbhi ] [ filename... ]

DESCRIPTION

jis2gb converts JISX0208-1983 and JISX0212-1990 characters to GB2312-80 and GB8565-88 characters. JISX0208-1983 (^[$B), JISX0208-1990 (^[&@^[$B), JISX0212-1990 (^[$(D), JISC6226-1978 (^[$@), and Japanese-EUC are available for Kanji code.

OPTIONS

-s: Input code is Shift-JIS. Microsoft extended IBM code is available.
-g: Do not use GB8565-88.
-b: Use Chinese-EUC (8-bit GuoBiao) for output.
-h: Use HZ-encoding for output. (include -g)
-i: Force to flush output characters one by one. This is the default when output is a tty.

NOTE

-gb options should be needed for normal GuoBiao terminals.

BUGS

A few mistakes may be left on the conversion table.
