git-ss
display a status summary for a Git repository

git-ss [<options...>] [--] [<pathspec>...]

The git-ss utility is merely a shorthand for “git status --short” to report a short summary of the status of a Git repository. It passes all command-line arguments to git-status(1).

See git-status(1).

See git-status(1).

See git-status(1).

Show a status summary for the current Git repository:

git ss

Filter only the C source files from the summary of the src/ subdirectory:

git ss src | egrep -e '.c$'

git-status(1)

The git-ss utility was written by Peter Pentchev in 2012.
