aw_sid
driver for the SID controller in Allwinner SoC

The aw_sid device driver provides support for the Allwinner SID (Security ID) controller. This controller provides root security keys that may be used as either a device unique ID or to generate a MAC address.

The aw_sid driver supports the SID controller with one of the following compatible strings:

  • allwinner,sun4i-a10-sid
  • allwinner,sun7i-a20-sid
  • allwinner,sun50i-a64-sid
  • allwinner,sun8i-a83t-sid
  • allwinner,sun8i-h3-sid

The following read-only variables are available via sysctl(8):
dev.aw_sid.rootkey
Root security key for this device.

The aw_sid device driver first appeared in FreeBSD 11.0.
